Volunteer For Friends of the Fields
Friends of the Fields relies heavily on
volunteers to accomplish our goals.
We hope you’ll consider lending a hand with our various
activities, described below.
Please complete the Volunteer Form and specify your interests.
Events – Participate in Friends of the Fields' activities and in major community events, including Festivals, County Fairs, and our annual Harvest Celebration. Visit our Events page for more details.
Fundraising – Help us raise
funds by selling Friends of the Fields merchandise, organizing
fundraising events, and identifying funding opportunities.
Communications – If you’re
media savvy, or enjoy writing and editing, lend your expertise to
Friends of the Fields for public relations, development of published
communication pieces and website development and maintenance.
Education – Do you enjoy
talking to people and advocating for something you believe in?
Help Friends of the Fields inform the public regarding
relevant issues, interact with students, and work with the Community
Garden of Sequim and other partners.
Farmland Preservation – You
don’t have to be an attorney or a realtor to help Friends of the
Fields evaluate and develop applicable criteria for farmland to be
protected, select farmland, keep up on laws that impact agriculture,
and promote local agricultural enterprises.
Administration – Are you detail-oriented? Friends of the Fields seeks volunteers to maintain organizational paperwork and files, including meeting minutes, bylaws, donor/volunteer database, tax status, annual filings and certifications, audits, and historical records.
