Board Member: Robert Caldwell, Treasurer
Born and raised in suburban Western New York
State, Bob spent many of
his summer vacations working on the farms of family friends.
He has a BS in Agriculture from
Cornell University, an MS in Agricultural Economics from Purdue University,
and a MPA in Public Administration from George Washington
University. He
worked for the USDA Soil Conservation Service for 29 Years,
serving as agricultural economist, resource conservationist,
program analyst, and division director.
Bob retired to the
Sequim
Dungeness
Valley
in 1994 to enjoy the rural nature of the area. He joined the
Clallam County Agricultural Lands Advisory Committee in 1996
in an effort to help protect those resources and was a
founding director of Friends of the Fields in 1999.
Bob serves as Vice President of the Board of Directors of
the Dungeness Irrigation Group, a non-profit irrigation
company. He is an appointed member of the Clallam
County Agricultural Advisory Committee and has served on a
number of other EDC and County Planning Commission
committees and subcommittees.
