Commitee Members: Charlotte Frazier
Charlotte, with 33 years as a high
school home economics teacher and 14 years as a
preschool teacher, brings a strong background in
education and public outreach to the program. Charlotte
exhibits personal characteristics of strength and
perseverance, having survived a Japanese concentration
camp in Manila, the Philippine Islands, during World War
II. She has raised horses, has been active with Master
Gardeners, and is a strong supporter of farms and
agriculture.
She moved to Sequim in 2002, drawn by the beauty of the
area and its rural quality. However, watching that rural
character disappear to rapid development, she felt
compelled to join Friends of the Fields to take a more
active role in its preservation. Charlotte, who is
tireless in her efforts of reaching out to the community
in causes that affect our children and future
generations, also volunteers for the Kiwanis Special
Needs Camp program.
