Board Member: Andrew Shogren
Andrew brings a strong background in public affairs to the board. In 2002, Andrew and his family moved to Sequim drawn by the promise of sunshine and a more rural atmosphere. He was dismayed to see Sequim’s rural atmosphere begin to change from pasture to parking lots. He became involved with Sequim First, a local community organization devoted to smart growth in Sequim, and currently serves as its president. Andrew holds a J.D. and an M.P.H. from the University of Washington, and has used his education and knowledge throughout his career, working for federal and local elected officials, and organizing grassroots efforts for a variety of causes. He currently serves as Jefferson County’s Director of Environmental Health/Water Quality Division. |
